Dr Siviwe Bangani is the new Director of Libraries at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT).
Dr Bangani, who has a PhD in Information Science from the University of South Africa (Unisa), brings almost 25 years of academic library experience to this role. He has held a variety of leadership positions in the libraries at North-West University, CPUT, and the University of Stellenbosch.
As an established scholar in Library and Information Science, he is Editor-in-Chief of the South African Journal of Libraries and Information Science. He has also peer-reviewed numerous papers, examined Master’s and Doctoral theses, and lectured in the field.
We wish Dr Bangani every success in his new role and look forward to following the libraries’ continued achievements under his leadership.
