On 1 June 2023, Nomonde dos Santos was appointed Director of Mpumalanga University Library & Information Services.
Prior to this appointment, she spent over 20 years of her career with Nelson Mandela University Library & Information Services, working in various roles, leading diverse teams, and progressing to the role of Deputy Director: Information and Training Services.
Ms dos Santos is passionate about the dynamic role academic libraries play in developing vibrant and engaged communities. She is also a strong advocate of the significant role the library can play in supporting the vision, mission, and values of the University of Mpumalanga.
